"Ewa is a brave person, proving that responsibility and social entrepreneurship are real, necessary and within the reach of all AIESEC Alumni. The inspiration she has been bringing to AIESEC ever since she joined as a member is precious for each person who has met her." - Marta Brüske
Poland, 2006 - During their time in AIESEC, thousands of young people are inspired to lead the positive change that they want to see in society. Ewa was one of these and after her time in AIESEC bravely set out to make her vision a reality. It is this entrepreneurial spirit that AIESEC Poland recognized when nominating Ewa for this award. This drive has been evident since her AIESEC days. After her year as Vice President, Wroclaw University was awarded the Best Local Committee Award for the first time in its existence. She then went on to become the Vice President of Human Resources in the Member Committee of AIESEC in Egypt. Later, on an AIESEC internship in India, she immediately took the initiative to start re-shaping the vision and the structure of the NGO she was working for. It was this experience that led her to establish an NGO together with one of her friends. Magic Mountain (www.czarodziejskagora.org.pl) gives disadvantaged and marginalized children the chance to experience nature and feelings of success. Regardless of social status, physical or mental disabilities, each of these children can feel that he or she has climbed his or her own Everest. She is currently the Polish country representative of Ashoka Innovators for the Public, a global non-profit organization. Here she identifies leading social entrepreneurs, supporting them and their initiatives to have a bigger impact. Ewa's own project, the School of Social entrepreneurs has recruited over 100 young people into the Ashoka network where they can pursue their dreams and passions. She was recently appointed to building the Fellowship of Ashoka Europe, embracing social entrepreneurs from the whole continent. Ewa is still a passionate supporter of AIESEC and sits on the Board of Advisors of AIESEC in Poland. Through her positive attitude and enthusiasm and her genuine concern for the people around her, Ewa continues to have an impact here as well. |
