ACHIEVEMENTS
Besides the relevant contribution to improve the knowledge and technical capacity of the Brazilian committees, in local and national basis, Mr. Divo was involved in two great challenges during his mandate.

One of that was the decision-making process in regards to the participation of South African delegation in IC 1986 in Sweden (they were refused visas for political reasons) and in creating the message on AIESEC’s relevance at that IC. Moreover, in the same event he led the group that took care of the PAI election process. Another relevant goal was the approval to have Aiesec Brazil as the host of the Presidents Meeting, in 1987. This event could put together people from other countries with the Brazilian members, energising and motivating them.

From 1976 to 1998, Mario Divo worked for Petrobras (oil and gas company), the largest Brazilian company and one of the largest of the world. The last twelve years, within the company, he was a manager in the Marketing and Communication area, reaching the top of the hierarchy in 1995. During his term in office he developed many social designs, several of which in a national reach. He also represented Petrobras at the World-wide Conference of Environment (RIO 92), the Green Press and the World Urban Forum.

In 1997, Mr. Mario Divo was invited by the President Mr. Fernando Henrique Cardoso to assume the responsibility for the planning of social communication of the Presidency. This included management of guided features in social action – education, health, culture, environment, anti-alcoholism, regional social difficulties, sports (incl. sports for the handicapped). For his efforts and initiatives in the interests of Brazilian society he received an award from the Brazilian Armed Forces.

Mr. Divo was the President of the Brazilian Association of Marketing & Businesses (ABM&N - 1997/2001), which promotes training and qualification events for young professionals and students, as well as recognizes success cases, with emphasis on those that involve programmes of social responsibility. Nowadays, he is an adviser of that association.
As an independent consultant and entrepreneur today, Mario Divo continues to participate and be engaged in initiatives related to cultural and social affairs. He coordinates an area of special projects for Universidade Santa Úrsula, one of the oldest universities in Brazil. Among other things, he publishes a technical magazine focused on the oil&gas academic and scientific community. Often, he writes businesses articles for Brazilian publications, included the Conjuntura Econômica (a 52 years-old magazine about the Brazilian economic reality).
An example of Mr. Divo’s educational and cultural initiatives is a literature for children on the issues of “friendship and fellowship”, which he edited. Mr. Divo is, also, a writer of fiction histories and tales about love, passion and the day-by-day facts of the life. He has his texts published in books and several Brazilian magazines.
