ACHIEVEMENTS
Jerry has been a dedicated Board of Advisor for three local committees over the past thirty
years (1971 to 2002): Georgia State University, Emory University, and the Georgia Institute of
Technology, as well as the advisor for International Congress 1997.
Jerry strongly encourages others to support AIESEC and become actively involved on the Board
of Advisors. He almost never misses a BOA meeting and challenges the other BOA members to support
the LC more. He hosted one BOA meeting in his home that included a formal dinner.
He has personally contributed
several thousand dollars to three LCs over the past 15 years through both personal donations and
his company.
His company, AJC International, has taken over 20 AIESEC traineeships. His company has hired
7 AIESECers since 1972. AJC has taken trainees in Hong Kong, Europe, and the United States and has
either hired trainees as employees in one of AJC's offices or has helped them find jobs with our
various business associates around the world.
Jerry was instrumental in
encouraging senior UPS executives to meet with AIESEC U.S. national staff to discuss a large-scale
relationship (20-30 traineeships per year). He used both personal and business contacts.
“Jerry is a prototypical
AIESECer who leads by example. He founded an LC, went on a traineeship, serves on the Board of
Advisors, takes trainees, and hires AIESECers. He is currently driving the establishment of a
partnership with UPS in Atlanta that could result in 20 trainees a year for the LC. Whenever we
have asked him or his company for help, he has always answered the call. I have tremendous respect
for him because he has supported AIESEC for 40 years as a member, alumnus, and business owner.”

“I met Jerry Allison at the
first new member meeting for AIESEC Georgia Tech on January 18, 1988. He has the sort of presence
that fills a room and can inspire and motivate anyone to believe that pursuing an international
business career is the highest calling there is. He has provided a tremendous amount of personal
motivation to me since that time while I was an active officer in AIESEC and from the time I began
my career at AJC after my traineeship and graduation. He has built a company from a couple of
folding chairs and a desk to a multi-national trading company that is one of Georgia's top private
companies. Jerry inspires all of us to live like AIESECers - where the world is a small place
filled with large opportunities.”
