"In AIESEC I got the opportunity to not only learn about the world,
but visit the world and embrace new cultures." |
Ryan Sheppard, 23, from New Zealand - Internship in Hungary |
| After spending time working with AIESEC in New Zealand and AIESEC International in the Netherlands, Ryan went on an internship at the Ferencváros Local Government in Budapest, Hungary. |
"This was an incredible opportunity to work as a PR and
Event Management Consultant, attending key festivals and cultural events, meeting local government and society leaders, and engaging the public, in an effort to improve the cultural activities in the area." |
This internship was a great way to use the skills Ryan had developed
throughout his time in university and AIESEC and really put them into practice. Interacting with
leaders in society became an everyday part of what Ryan did.
Knowing that his recommendations would come to impact many people in the city
that he was working for, made his work even more satisfying. This
opportunity reinforced his belief that through AIESEC he could not only see the
world. Ryan knew that he had the ability to
generate change for the better in the communities that he interacted with.
Right now Ryan continues to do this as an entrepreneur providing exchange
experiences for AIESECers through the company he is now running.

"AIESEC gave me the responsibility and the network to make things happen
in a huge international organisation. Because of AIESEC I got the opportunity to work with people from 5 continents everyday, both virtually and face-to-face." |
Ryan is only one of 5.500 students taking the opportunity to go on an
internship in one of the over 100 AIESEC countries every year. Do you want to live a similar
experience?
