Local Committee President (
LCP)
LCP is the person in charge of the whole LC. It’s the person making sure that the plans made
and the strategy set is being accomplished. LCP is also leading the EB –team and being the support
for them. LCP is the person that knows what’s happening in the whole LC and communicating that with
the other stakeholders. LCP is the face of the local committee (LC) and the person communicating
with many stakeholders as the members, the EB, the national board (MC), KY and other AIESEC
committees and members internationally. In short it’s the LCPs role to make sure the LC is
operating, it has a culture to do so and also LCP is keeping track of the
performance.

Incoming Exchange ( ICX) The main purpose of ICX is to support the process of realizing exchanges in the local committee, and even more realizing traineeships in Finnish companies. This means that ICX is the persons responsible that all the steps towards this goal are achieved, for instance market research, contacting the companies, company visits, matching and reception of the trainee. However it doesn’t mean that ICX team is doing it all by its self, but rather making sure they are done. (to join this team see the Contacts)
Outgoing Exchange (OGX)
Outgoing exchange is the other part of the exchange happening. It’s OGX that is sending students from Finland to abroad and marketing the opportunity. So OGX is the one making sure that marketing research happens, followed by recruitment of exchange participants (EPs), integration of them to the LC (with the help of Talent Management, TM), education and support of EPs and finally sending them to abroad. Also during the exchange OGX is supporting the EP and as they come back, make sure that they integrate again to the Finnish way. External Relations (ER)
It’s very easy to mix ER and ICX, because they are both doing sales. ER is more like a support for sales and the one that opens up the sales doors, in sort of speak. ER is promoting AIESEC and the opportunities we offer and does this also with calls, but also with attending networking events and just bringing AIESEC close to the people. ER can also organise networking events, or sell other kind of AIESEC products that aren’t necessary related to only exchange. This means for instance participation to an event, to a project or just visibility in the LC. And it’s the ER that’s again responsible of these things to happen, starting from the very beginning of market research to closing the deal and nurturing the relationship with companies. Talent Management (
TM)
The main purpose of talent management is to get members and keeping them happy. In practise this means first doing an HR-plan of the needs of the LC, recruiting the needed members, inducting them to the LC and the functions we have, selecting them and after this making sure they are satisfied and supported with their learning. Ways to do this are for instance: training (making sure the members have the knowledge they should have), mentoring, Rewards and recognition, coaching, feedback, learning events, competency assessment and finally transition. Still it’s to keep in mind that many of these things happens by the help of other functions and for instance TM-is the one to support the trainings to happen, not necessary train the members themselves. Finance (VP F)
Finance team is the one making sure the finances of an LC support its strategy. Finance team is the one making budget for the local committee, revising the budget, making daily finances (bills etc.), making audit, applying money from other entities and also investing capital. Finance is a position that has and even more can have lots of impact of the LC, the realities and it should be in the very core of the LC. Unlike the previously mentioned teams, Finance does not has to have a team can be as well only one person VP F (Vice President Finance). (to join this team see the Contacts) Information Management and Communication (IM&C) This term, we have decided to open a new position in information management and communication in order to make that area even stronger and in order the LCP to focus more on the leading of the EB team. In other words, this is a very very critical area in the LC and the way it’s done can create lots of successes for the lc. VP IM and Com is the one responsible for the information flow in the local committee. He/She together with the rest of the EB members and especially with the LCP will develop a information flow plan on how information is created, distributed and obtained in the local committee. In practise this means also taking care of the blog, the web pages, the LC wikis on myaiesec.net and the general communication on the LC, eg. the weekly mails.
