International Internships

How does it function?

1. Application and selection process – It is carried out after joining AIESEC and getting to understand the organization and its programs of international traineeship. The application process is done through www.aieseczagreb.hr or via email info@aieseczagreb.hr
2. Preparation - AIESEC prepares the trainee through trainings, simulation and support for life and study aboard. It also provides help in pursuing visas.
3. Matching – Each trainee will get the necessary training and support while looking for the traineeship through our online system. The more flexible a student is, the more likely he or she will get a traineeship.
4. Integration – It is carried out in the local committee of AIESEC where the trainee is, and it includes the help needed at the beginning of traineeship and the possibility to participate in cultural and social activities.
5. Reintegration – Having returned to the native country, AIESEC offers support to get the trainee back on track and adjust to the life in the homeland. 

TYPES OF INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS

Development internship

Development internship means working with the business sector, charities and NGOs through the development of community and society. The main purpose of development internship is a positive influence and improvement of society. It implies doing research, creating strategies to finance organizations, project oriented research and educational programs to promote various cultures. The greatest amount of development internships comes from India, Turkey, Poland and the countries of Latin America. 

Technical Internships

Technical internship is comprised of IT internship such as web development and web management, software development and programming, system analysis and design, network management and database management. It also includes engineering internships, with all kinds of works available (mechanic, electronic etc…).  

Management Internships

This program makes it possible for students to do internships in the business sector, and the areas in which they can specialize include marketing, business administration, accounting, finance, economy, and human resources. The most highly represented areas of management practice are marketing and business administration. 

Education Internship

Education internship is intended for students that have had some previous experience in teaching or have the necessary qualifications such as a TOEFL certificate or academic knowledge of the language.

Education internship in most of the cases means teaching English abroad, but there are also options to teach other skills and types of knowledge.
