Energy Conference

What is the energy situation in the world and in Croatia? From which sources we get energy  and can that work in the future as well ? What is offered as an alternative, and what are the positive and negative aspects of these alternatives?

This year, the leaders of AIESEC Zagreb decided to deal with a problem that day by day gets more attention in the world, and which last year shocked Croatia. The problem is, of course, the increasing need for more energy and thus new energy resources. This is the first student conference about energy, and we invite students from all kinds of studies to participate in order to contribute!

Our presenters, professors at universities and professionals working in famous institutions and businesses all influential people on the energy field, will introduce you through a wide range of lectures the whole picture, with the advantages and disadvantages of each energy source. Also, it will all be examined from the professional, economic and ecological aspects. We encourage discussion after each lecture in order to create a realistic picture of the situation and to stimulate critical thought.

The aim of the conference is to educate students to get a realistic picture of our energy resources and the importance of responsible behavior towards the environment, to be inspired by this event and try by themselves to contribute in the energy sector, because energy, food and clean water, form the basis for the sustainability of each country and economy. Come to the conference, and contribute to create a general picture of what does energy mean in our daily lives, how can it be produced and what resources can generate it. Enjoy making new friends and living an experience which you will remember for your whole life.

The project is sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship. Supported by the Energy Institute, FER, FSB and the Croatian Studies. For now, it is sponsored by HEP, Đuro Đaković and Ekonerg and we are in negotiations with several more sponsors.
