Our unique exchange process

Preparation
Pre-departure overseas preparation is crucial to the success of an internship. Every Exchange Participant (EP) that has been selected for an internship must have the following preparation before going abroad:

● AIESEC preparation
● Logistics preparation
● Cultural preparation
● Professional preparation

Both the Sending and Hosting Local Committees (LCs) are responsible for your preparation. The Sending LC must facilitate general preparation for an intern going overseas while the Hosting LC must provide country specific preparation as well as be ready to receive the intern and orient him/her to the local environment.

Reception
Reception is one of the key characteristics that makes AIESEC's Exchange Experience stand out among the many work abroad programs available today. Our reception ensures that during your Internship you can not only gain a great degree of practical experience but also learn to understand a new culture and its people. Reception in AIESEC's Exchange Program means active involvement and interaction with the AIESEC members in your host community. It is our network of active members on the ground that enables our exchanges to become intense learning and personal development experiences not simply a job away from home.

Integration
Integration enables the interns get involved into the local environment and LC. By providing abundant opportunities for interns to organize and attend activities relevant to his/ her interests, AIESEC supports you with integration with access for involvement in the local community and related topics you interest in. You would be able to share your own cultures, and at the same time, learn from the local people in your exchange experience.

Reintegration
One of the most important objectives of our program is to create positive impact in society through developing young people by exchange. Reintegration is the part where returning interns are expected to spread their exchange impact and learning. By providing abundant opportunities for returning interns to extend their learning experiences, AIESEC supports you with reintegration upon returning home helping to make your entire experience not just a time when you worked abroad but also a life changing experience.
